CPF Woodstock Precinct: Endorsing Youth Entrepreneurship To Create Re-Imagined Neighbourhoods 

The Woodstock CPF is the driving force and main endorser of this Programme aimed at sustainably but impactfully reducing crime in its precinct as the eradication of crime requires a long-term strategic plan.

The Programme:

• will equip youth to acquire practical entrepreneurship skills and will support them to start small businesses from which to earn a living rather thus creating mind-set shifts to guard against falling prey to gangsters who perpetuate crime and poverty cycles in historically disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
• culminates in 2 outcomes-based Entrepreneur Business Pathways, allowing participants to choose one, both, or to mix elements to launch their own small business. 
• was designed by subject-matter facilitator and entrepreneurship experts including scientists and HR professionals in collaboration with Community Leaders, the programme is run by New Oaks College a registered skills development provider. 
• also offers a workplace skills programme for those more attracted to the formal world of work.
